Comparisonitis by Melissa Ambrosini - A book suggestion

Comparisonitis is an inspirational guide to finding happiness in an often toxic social media world.

We've all felt it the compulsion to compare our own accomplishments to another's then perhaps experienced a sinking feeling having done so when you're suddenly convinced that the other person is better than you in some way and you're left feeling deflated, discouraged and feeling worthless. That feeling, Melissa Ambrosini describes as comparisonitis and she reassures us that we are not alone if you can identify with this.

"Comparisonitis is a toxic condition that occurs when you compare yourself to others so frequently and fiercely that you're left paralysed, with your confidence in tatters and your self-worth plummeting. It can lead to a whole range of negative outcomes - including depression, anxiety, overthinking, envy, guilt, regret and defensiveness. And yet instead of moving away from this culture of comparison, it seems that we're leaning into it more than ever before"

In her book, author Melissa Ambrosini helps us identify why we fall prey to comparisonitis, how to free ourselves from this toxic affliction, and in so doing raise our sense of self worth so that we'll never allow comparison to steal our joy again. Melissa Ambrosini shows us step by step how to reboot our perspective, reconnect with what matters and live our lives freely and authentically for ourselves in a radical shift towards full-blown self-love.
