Rainbow Mountains

Nature never fails to astound and when rainbows are involved, even better! These mountains are in the Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park, in China and were formed due to sandstone and various minerals mixing together over millions of years . The park is located in the eastern foothills of the Qilian Mountains in Gansu Province.. The geological park has a Danxia ( red cloud) landform area that covers about 50 square kilometres (19 square miles).
