Who moved the cheese? by Spencer Johnson

“Life moves on and so should we” Spencer Johnson

“Who moved my cheese?” by Spencer Johnson is a fable about four characters who live in a maze and they all love cheese.

When the cheese disappears, Scurry and Sniff enthusiastically head out into the maze to find new cheese. On the other hand Hem and Hall feel betrayed and complain. They waste their time and energy hoping the old cheese will return.

When change happens, we can have a natural tendency to resist that change because we are afraid of change and it represents the unknown which challenges our sense of safety and security.

The core message of the book is that life doesn’t always turn out the way we think it will and things constantly change so we must adapt. It’s about seeing change, anticipating change, and adapting to change. The quicker we adapt to a change the more satisfied we will be.
