Personality v character

“Personality can open doors, but only character can keep them open”.

Elmer G. Letterman

Personality is not a predictor of character. Character used to be the most priceless thing that people could ever attain but from the beginning of the 20th century, however, Warren Susman discovered that the ideal of character began to be replaced by that of personality at the same time a culture of production was replaced with consumerism. Values also changed accordingly reducing most virtues down to whether a person was’ nice’ or not!
