Permission to feel - Podcast suggestion

Emotional Intelligence is not just something that makes a difference in our personal relationships . In this interview Brene Brown interviews Dr. Marc Brackett and they underscore how being an empathic leader isn't simply a nice-to-have trait, it's a business imperative:

"People felt inspiration 50% more when they were in an organization with a leader with high emotional intelligence. Their frustration levels were 30-40% less, their intentions to leave the profession were significantly lower, their burnout was lower. So many variables are related to the person who's in charge having the skills to manage people and manage their emotions."

Marc Brackett, Ph.D., is the founding director of the Yale Centre for Emotional Intelligence and a professor in the Child Study Centre at Yale University. His research focuses on the role of emotional intelligence in learning, decision making, creativity, relationships, health, and performance.
