Eggshell art

Ostrich eggs shells are being used from a variety of artists to create stunning designs including artist and former inmate Gil Batle who has depicted 20 years of his prison life onto egg shells and glass artist Shirley Hambrick who carves patterns, animals and figures, varying the depth to create the detail with air powered engravers. Ostrich eggs are used as their thicker shells open up more possibilities
