Being normal is rare

The only normal people are the ones that you don’t know very well”

Alfred Adler

Our society is ingrained to think about everything in terms of what is “normal” and anyone who deviates from this is somehow dysfunctional or different. But we are all different in our own way and even when we do define what counts as “normal,” it’s very rare that anyone actually fits this description.

Being “normal” is rare. Being “different” is common. This is a fundamental truth about human nature and its infinite variability.
